Thanksgiving is an annual holiday celebrated in the United States on the fourth Thursday in November. This day traces back to the pilgrim's first harvest in 1621. The Indians taught the pilgrims how to farm, how get the local food resources and how to use the medicinal plants that were available. After they harvested their crops, they held a three day banquet, and had prayers to offer thanks.
