"The New Year started at sun down on the first full moon after the Autumn Equinox. Feasts were held in the dead ancestors' honor and they were expected to show up. Also the living could get a
glimpse into the afterlife. This was changed by the Christian church to All Saints Day, All Soul's Day or All Hallow Day. Of course from sun
down of the day before to midnight was called All Hallow's eve. A slight change to the name of All Hallow's eve gave use the name Halloween."
